The lovely, charming family camp site of Le Giessen is located on level grounds by a mountain stream with plenty of trees and bushes. Le Giessen is set at the foot of the Vosges in the middle of beautiful countryside. An ideal destination for walking, cycling, paragliding and horse riding.

The nearby (public) leisure pool is free for camp site guests. There are all types of children's activities and family games. You can eat and drink well here as you can everywhere in this region in the east of France, close to the German border.

Besides the Vosges you can also enjoy the flower-filled villages of Alsace with their half-timbered houses, the cities of Colmar, Strasbourg, Obernai and the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. The village of Villé, close to the camp site is recommended. This area has a very unique regional cuisine, so you should not miss out on a glass of typical Alsace wine! A trip across the border to the German Black Forest makes a good day out. You will certainly find that Bassemberg is the perfect holiday address!
