Campsite La Croix d'Arles
Camping La Croix d’Arles is located at the southern point of Champagne-Ardenne, just south of the fortified town of Langres. It is a natural, spacious, quiet camp site. The wooded site offers large sunny and shaded pitches and plenty of room for children to play. The swimming pool (with a separate shallow toddlers’ pool) is the place to make friends. Even though the amenities are basic they are perfectly clean.
It’s easy to find being only 10km from the motorway, and makes an excellent stopover en route to camp sites further south.
But once there you will probably not want to leave! You will discover that this holiday area east of Paris has plenty to offer. Only ten kilometres away is the large recreational lake the Lac de la Liez, with a beach and sailing boats, water bikes and surfboards available for hire. You can get a good view of the lake from the imposing defences high up in Langres. There are countless possibilities for walking and mountain biking in the huge forests nearby.
For a trip further afield the beautiful Jura is located east of this region, going south you will come to Bourgogne or the towns of Dijon and old Dole in the Doubs valley.
