The camp site at Domaine d’Arnauteille in Montclar in the Aude region (Languedoc Roussillon in southern France) is a beautifully located natural camp site which is perfectly suitable for nature lovers and families with younger children. The differences in height on the grounds offer wonderful views of the absolutely breathtaking landscape all around you.

The former farmhouse has a feeling of well-being and relaxation where you can sample true nature. The site has the green label of Sites & Paysages de France. It is an absolute paradise for tent campers,

but caravans too can make use of the lovely spacious pitches. There are also lovely mobile homes available for rent.

There is a restaurant with a pleasant terrace and a well finished new toilet block built in a lovely Roman style. The children will really enjoy the swimming pool with its Roman pillars and several pools, including one for small children.

For more fun in the water try canoeing on the River Aude or visit the Mediterranean beaches (about 90 km). The ‘Club Enfants’ organises plenty of activities for children in high season. A visit to the walled medieval town of Carcassonne is highly recommended. You are here in the Pays Cathare with dozens of fortresses and castles from the Catharen knights! There are shows and festivals with medieval knights in high season.
