Campsite Mar Estang
Camping Mar Estang is located right on the Mediterranean in Canet-Plage, not far from Perpignan and the Spanish border. The location of Mar Estang campsite is exceptionally beautiful at the furthermost point of the resort of Canet-Plage and right next to the protected Canet - Saint-Nazaire nature reserve, famous for the thousands of pink flamingos! You will find a lovely wide beach on the doorstep of Mar Estang campsite which slopes down gently into the sea. The sea is also suitable for windsurfers and kite surfers with miles of empty sand and dunes between Canet-Plage and Saint-Cyprien.
You will certainly enjoy a top-class holiday at Mar Estang !
There is a beautiful swimming pool complex at Mar Estang campsite with water slides on the campsite. There is also a fitness room, a beach club and entertainment for all ages! There are special clubs for younger children (6-12) and for teenagers. Not to mention a supermarket. There is also a kiosk at Mar Estang campsite. You can enjoy good Catalan specialities in the restaurant if you don't feel like cooking. You are here in the South of France but the local population think of themselves as Catalan and are proud of it.
There is also plenty to do away from Mar Estang campsite. There are lovely towns in the vicinity such as Collioure (a real artists' village), Argelès sur Mer and the capital of this region, Perpignan. Canet-Plage is only 100m away! Inland you can marvel at the mountainous landscapes of the Pyrenées Orientales, together with typical mountain villages, Roman temples and Catharen castles. A bit further away you have medieval Carcassonne. Even Barcelona in Spanish Catalonia is not far away. A lovely spot for a varied holiday with sun, beaches and culture!
You will be staying at this campsite in one of our own rental properties: a luxurious SunLodge mobile home or in the adventurous SunLodge Safari (a stylish lodge tent in safari style).
All SunLodge properties are spaciously positioned in an open field with plenty of greenery. The field is quietly located and car-free. Cars can be parked just beyond the field in a parking space reserved for SunLodge guests.
On the campsite you need to purchase a 'recreation wristband'. SunLodge-guests can ask the courier for more information. With this recreation wristband you have free access to various facilities. Namely: the swimming pool, disco and gym. Participation in entertainment/recreation is also included.
Without the recreation wristband you cannot use the above mentioned facilities.
The costs are:

9-12 years 1 week € 10, - / 2 weeks € 13, - / 3 weeks € 16, -
13 years and over 1 week € 15, - / 2 weeks € 21, - / 3 weeks € 24, -
