Another famous destination for a camping holiday in Germany is the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). So there are plenty of camp sites to suit hikers in the Black Forest. If you want a relaxing day away from the camp site in the Black Forest go to Baden Baden. This, as its name suggests is one of the principal spa resorts in the area. Beautiful buildings such as the Neues Schloss, the Stiftskirche and the Friedrichsbad (built on Roman remains!) adorn the town. Most spa towns have grandiose hotels from the 19th century where the bourgeoisie would have stayed.
