Knaus Campingpark Burhave / Nordsee
Campingpark Burhave is a camp site on the German Wadden Sea, about 40 km north of Bremen on the Butjadingen strip of narrow land around the town of Nordenharn where the River Weser flows out into the North Sea at Bremerhaven. The camp site is situated right by the sea on a dike close to the Wattenmeer National Park. Most unusual is the new natural pool with sea water, 1.6 hectares in size and right on the North Sea beach. This Badesee is separated from the sea by a dike and is a safe place to swim, complete with a sandy beach, small islands and sports fields on the sand.
Beach parties are held in this recreational area and films shown in an open air cinema! Burhave is celebrated for its pure air, clean beaches and environmental friendliness.
It is therefore the perfect place to get some relaxation in a pleasant and healthy way. You will have a spacious pitch on grass of about 80 to 100m² on the camp site. In the summer you can be sure of a lively beach atmosphere and the famous German 'Gemütlichkeit'. Have an ice cream while you stroll along the beach or enjoy a romantic sunset lying in the grass on the dike.
There are numerous activities to keep you occupied. You can take wonderful walks or go cycling or horse riding. Sample the fresh milk from the farms on your way, or try the local specialities such as sheep's cheese from the sheep that graze on the dike. Those who appreciate environmental friendly camping will feel at ease here in the middle of nature.
The sightseeing in the area also has a watery theme: the German nautical museum in Bremerhaven and the Moormuseum Emsland close to the marshes in Geeste for example.
