Campingpark Walkenried is located in the heart of rural Germany in Niedersachsen on the edge of the beautiful Harz natural area, with endless woods, lakes and hills. And significantly, with clean healthy air. The camp site deservedly calls itself a Luftkurort’. This is an excellent base for a healthy active holiday and for getting your breath back!

There is a free indoor swimming pool on the site for an early morning dip. During the day you can take walks through the woods, past charming and almost medieval villages and centuries old monasteries,

and in the evening you can join in by the camp fire and enjoy a local lumberjack's speciality with the appropriate drink. If you come back tired but satisfied after a long day's walk you can relax in the sauna and solarium on the camp site. The menu in the restaurant has German and Croatian specialities.

Various excursions are organised from the camp site but you can always visit the picturesque towns and villages of Goslar, Kyffhäuser or Quedlinburg under your own steam. Or discover eastern Germany; from here it's not so far to Leipzig!
