Campsite Sikia
Sikia camp site is located right by the sea on the green and extensive headland of the Pikion hills, on the sunny Aegean coast in the east of Greece. You will be instantly in a Greek mood!
You will be camping under centuries old olive trees: a number of pitches on the camp site have sea views. It's just how you imagine a holiday in Greece to be: intimate little bays which you can see between big rocks, and the sea is always a deep blue!
The grounds are terraced and very atmospheric thanks to the lush vegetation. You are quickly at the lovely,
child friendly beach from the camp site or in a small bay with a pebble beach where the snorkelling is wonderful. The liveliest place is the intimate tavern and restaurant by the beach. Here you can try the local dishes and in the evening there is music by lamplight with traditional Greek dance groups giving regular performances. A truly warm and wonderful ambiance for a sunny holiday! If it's luxury you are looking for, we recommend the lovely apartments. They are built in traditional style and offer space for 4 people.
But if you really want to leave this holiday paradise, the surroundings offer plenty of opportunities. Such as a boat trip to the island of Skiathos, by bus to the market in the village of Volos or a trip in a restored steam train on the Pilion railway.
By using the new motorway between Igoemenitsa and Volos the driving time to the camp site can be halved! You can choose to drive overland or you can make part of the journey by boat. By taking the ferry from Venice you only have to drive 1577 km.
