Campsite Cittā di Bologna
An excellent camp site on your way to Tuscany, Umbria, Rome or southern Italy. The site is set in a green oasis yet is just 1500 metres from the exit of the Bologna ring road. Bologna, capital of Emilia Romagna province is a lovely old town with a rich history. Here you will find countless old medieval and Renaissance buildings and squares. The imposing Piazza Maggiore in the old centre for example, or the more intimate Piazza Nattuno with its many bars and restaurants.
You will lack for nothing with all the new amenities on the camp site!
The new additions include a restaurant-pizzeria with a big dining area, a fitness room with showers, a meeting room and a bigger terrace outside.
Highly recommended in Bologna is the area around the university with its amusing shops, boutiques, bars and cafes. Moreover Bologna university is the oldest in Europe with a history going back over 900 years! And did you know that Bolgna has not one but two leaning towers? Centuries before New York had its Twin Towers, Bologna was home to two leaning towers in the Piazza di Porta; the massive Torre degli Asinelli and the Torre degli Garisenda. The latter leans over too far to climb (more than 3 metres and that at a height of 49 metres!).
It could mean that your 'stopover' becomes more than just a stopover and you decide to stay here! The rest of Emilia Romagna is also worth visiting. The camp site pitches are spacious and level and on grass. There is a 20x10 metre swimming pool and a lovely natural park for recreation!
