Kennemer Duincamping Geversduin
Fancy camping in the dunes, a short distance from the sea, the woods and lovely Dutch towns? Then this is your ideal spot. Kennemer Duincamping Geversduin is located in a lovely and unusual spot on Holland’s North Sea coast.
The camp site is located in the middle of the beautiful Noord Holland dunes and the grounds are wonderfully natural. The use of cars on the camp site is restricted, and one section is completely traffic-free. This is genuine countryside camping! All amenities live up to excellent and modern standards, such as the playground,
the heated toilet buildings (with special children's toilets and a baby room), the restaurant and the shop where you can do your daily shopping.
You can rent bikes on the site and take wonderful rides along the crunchy shell paths through the dunes. To the beach for example which is 4 km away. Geversduin is also an ideal base for surfers, swimmers, sun-worshippers and other beach enthusiasts. There is of course plenty of space for walking or horse riding through the dunes and woods. The natural area after which the camp site is named, the Kennemer Duinen (Dunes) between Haarlem and Bloemendaal has a surprisingly lovely and varied landscape.
Lovely day trips can be made to Keukenhof gardens, the bulbfields with their coloured tulips and Zaanse Schans, a real piece of Holland in an open air museum with windmills by the side of the Zaan waterway. A day out in Alkmaar with the traditional cheese market, the Beverwijk Bazaar with its notorious indoor 'black market' or shopping in Amsterdam are all easy to do from Castricum!
