In the south west of the country is the coastal region of Poitou-Charentes<\/a>. Whether you’re looking for a camping holiday in the heart of the countryside or prefer cultural excursions, Poitou-Charentes is without doubt the place to be. You could, for example, visit the Marais-Poitevin \u2014 this marshland has quite a mysterious atmosphere to it. The Ard\u00e8che<\/a> and Bourgogne in the interior of the country should not be overlooked \u2014 the Ard\u00e8che takes its name from the river of the same name, which flows through the region. You shouldn’t miss the Pont d’Arc either, a natural bridge over the river. The bridge is best viewed from a canoe.<\/p>\n

The Bourgogne region is home to the Jura, a mountainous region of lakes, waterfalls and historical towns and villages \u2014 ideal for a long hike or a bike ride.<\/p>\n

In the summer, you can cycle, hike and relax in Bois de Boulogne, the forest of Paris.<\/p>\n
