And with the beach less than a kilometre away from this family campsite, you are guaranteed a wonderful seaside holiday. Prepare yourself for a holiday packed full with Mediterranean enjoyment in the orchards of southern Brittany.
Deliciously historic
Camping La Pommeraie de l’Océan – Tohapi is the perfect campsite for anyone who enjoys seaside holidays. This campsite is located on the south of the Finistère peninsula in Cornouaille. Camping La Pommeraie de l’Océan – Tohapi is just 900 metres from the beach and 3 km from the Trévignon headland. Seagulls and other sea birds like to come here to find rest. You’ll be camping here in an area with a rich history; this was once a separate kingdom!
Sunbathing by the swimming pool
No shortage of fun splashing around at this Breton campsite. The attractive heated swimming complex has two swimming pools with separate slides. Children will soon discover the waterfall and jet stream in the indoor section, while the little ones can amuse themselves in the water playpark. You can get that holiday feeling between the palm trees, or you can enjoy the bubbles in the whirlpool on the sunbathing area. Men take note; swimming shorts are not permitted, so take your swimming trunks with you.
Fun and games for everyone
While the children let loose in a fanatical volleyball competition, you can loosen up in a Zumba lesson. Get in shape in the fitness centre or knock a ball around on the tennis court. Young adventurers can go on a treasure hunt, but the entertainment team also lays on great activities for the older children. It’s party time on the dance floor in the evening. Treat yourself and dine out on one of the evenings, maybe with a pizza and a good glass of wine at the bar.
A town on the beach
With the coast in your back garden, watersports opportunities are endless; surfing, sailing, jet skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving, you can try them all! There are too many beaches to choose from. If you want to soak up some culture, visit historic Concarneau with its Gothic castle. After that you can treat yourself to some fresh fish in Europe’s main tuna harbour, or take a look at the Trévignon lighthouse. This is positioned on a separate small island in the middle of the rocks, but you can reach it along a causeway.
The Caribbean of Brittany
You can take a boat from Corncarneau to the Iles de Glénan. Pure white beaches, crystal clear water; yes, you’re in France, not in the Caribbean! Discover this gem in a canoe or a glass-bottomed boat, but don’t freak out if you see a fin sticking out of the water. This might well be a giant shark, but this friendly fish is not at all dangerous. Almost anything blooms and grows in this protected nature area, including the unique Narcissus of Glénan.
