This place is known for its clean healthy air. The campsite deservedly calls itself a "Luftkurort", a fresh-air spa. This is an excellent base for a healthy active holiday and for getting your breath back!Leisure and relaxation
There is a free indoor swimming pool at Walkenried campsite for an early morning dip. There is an extensive playground for the children and there are several sports fields and a minigolf course. During the day you can take walks through the woods, past charming and almost medieval villages and centuries-old monasteries, and in the evening you can join in by the camp fire and enjoy a local lumberjack's speciality with the appropriate drink. If you come back tired but satisfied after a long day's walk you can relax in the sauna and solarium at Walkenried campsite. The menu in the restaurant has German and Croatian specialities.Picturesque towns and villages
Various excursions are organised from Walkenried campsite, or you can choose to visit the picturesque towns and villages of Goslar, Kyffhäuser or Quedlinburg under your own steam. Or discover eastern Germany; from here it's not so far to Leipzig!

Bungalow tent Blue is a spacious tent offering every convenience. All models come complete with a double bed and three sprung single beds with mattress and cover. Please cover the bed with your own sheet and use your own sleeping bag or duvet for sleeping. For parties of six, an additional bed can be provided - please discuss this option with the campsite.
For smaller parties, one of the interior walls of some models of tent can be rolled up to provide additional space.
Where permitted, you can also erect your own side tent alongside the bungalow tent. Older children will probably love this idea, and it will also give you more space inside the tent.
An electric heater is provided in the tent.
Smoking is not permitted in our bungalow tents.
This bungalow tent range features two models of sleeping tent. Depending on the model, the beds can be set up either across or along the tent.
Attached to the ground sheet in the front section of the tent is a special ground covering with raised edges designed to provide additional comfort. During the day, the edge of the covering can be laid down in the door area so that guests don't trip over it, while at night it can be raised again to prevent water from entering the tent. This proprietary invention has proved its worth in various locations. It is covered with matting for comfort, meaning you won't be walking on a cold floor and can still enjoy the tent even if the weather is inclement.
Pillows are provided as standard.

The GlamLodge tent is spacious, suitable for a maximum of six people and offers all the conveniences. At the front of the tent, the ground sheet is attached to a so-called 'bathtub' with raised edges. This special construction makes it possible to lower the edge by the door when in use during the day or to pull it up to make a water-tight bathtub to prevent any flooding. All models have a double bed and three single beds as standard. You use your own bed sheets and sleep in your own sleeping bag or under your own duvet; pillows are provided. If there are six of you, then contact us and we will arrange for an extra bed to be provided on arrival. If there are fewer of you, then depending on the model of the tent, you can roll up a partition wall for more space. In the tent, you will find an electric heater and a fan. The kitchen is fully equipped and outside on the covered patio (awning), there is a set of garden furniture, two loungers with footstools and a Skottelbraai (barbecue). View the Specifications

This mobile home for a maximum of five people is fully furnished. In this mobile home, you will find two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The sofa in the living room can be converted into an additional bed.
The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee machine, kettle, fridge, microwave and four cooking plates. The living room has a large corner sofa.
In the bathroom, you will find a sink, toilet and shower.
The covered wooden patio has garden furniture. It is a lovely place to sit both during the day as in the evenings.
