Relax in a German oasis
In the west of Germany lies Bockenau, a small town in a wooded area in the countryside. In these relaxing surroundings you will find Camping Bockenauer Schweiz. The green campsite, managed by the Dutch people, is situated in a gently sloping valley. The streams that run through the campsite complete the picture. Children can play at the campsite, take a dip in the small pool or enjoy the campfire together in the evening.
The state of Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz) is located in the west of Germany. Famous cities here are Koblenz, Trier, Mainz and Kaiserlautern. Furthermore, Rhineland-Palatinate is known for its beautiful nature. Hills, valleys, vast forests, rivers and waterfalls make it a top destination for holidaymakers who like to walk or cycle. Camping Bockenauer Schweiz is a green campsite situated in a beautiful valley. Everywhere on the campsite you'll find shade thanks to the many trees.
Want to bring your fishing rods?
The campsite has a small but lovely swimming pool for you to enjoy in the water. All around is enough space to work on your tan on a towel or chair. Furthermore, there are two ponds where you can fish. In the surrounding area there are dozens of other fishing spots where you can fish (with a permit).
Campsite as a playground
Nature is the campsite's greatest asset. Enjoy it actively or go for ultimate relaxation. From reading a book in the shade to making sporty walking or cycling trips; it's all possible. Ask at the reception desk for the most beautiful routes and borrow a map if you want to avoid getting lost. When the weather is not so good, many camping guests gather in the games room. There you will find a television, games and some slot machines. Outside there is a jeu-de-boules pitch.
Children can expend their energy in the playground. Although you could call the entire campsite a playground. There is plenty of space to kick a ball about, build huts or romp in the streams. In the high season there are regular excursions. In the evening, campfires are regularly lit. Because there is little lighting, you can see the stars very well when the sky is clear!
Taste the German kitchen
There's a great restaurant with a terrace and bar on Camping Bockenauer Schweiz: Zum Budsche. You'll find the campsite restaurant right at the entrance. With typical German dishes and Dutch meals there is something for everyone. Choose a local wine or (special) beer to get into the German mood. Handy: you can also take meals to your own place. Hungry during the day? There is a bread roll service. You can also visit the shop for basic groceries. The rest you can easily buy in the nearby Bockenau (2 km).
Safari tents and more ...
The largest part of the site consists of spacious pitches for caravan, camper or trailer tent. There is a separate field for tent campers. There are also five hardened camper spaces. There are also various options if you want to book accommodation. Choose one of the nine safari tents or go for an adventurous hiker's hut. More luxury can be found in a mobile home, flat or holiday home.
