Rural camping close to Tuscany
The Arizona campsite is beautifully and peacefully located between rolling hills with deciduous trees in the Italian province of Emilia Romagna, close to Tuscany. Emilia Romagna is popular for its many health resorts with healing spring water. Salsomaggiore is not far from the northern border of Tuscany, which makes the Arizona campsite perfect for a varied family holiday with a focus on nature, health, relaxation and culture!
Splash around in four swimming pools!
This campsite in Italy has spacious pitches on lightly sloping terrain with deciduous trees which provide full shade. There are no fewer than four swimming pools at the campsite, one of which has a waterslide. The little ones will enjoy themselves in the excellent playground at the Arizona campsite. There is a special circuit for mountain-bikers. The toilet facilities have a baby bathroom, toilets, bathrooms, showers and washing up area. The water is heated by solar panels. You can also use wifi (charges apply).
Verdi, Tuscany and protected nature reserves
A pub has opened next to the campsite for younger camping guests to enjoy. Regular themed evenings are organised. There is an entertainment programme in the high season. There is also plenty to enjoy in terms of culture here. You can visit Parma with its many monuments; spend a day in Busseto, the birth town of Giuseppe Verdi; visit the castles in the surrounding hills… or you can pamper yourself in one of the renowned thermal baths. The famous baths of Salsomaggiore and Tabiano Terme are a few kilometres from the campsite, where you can fully relax and take to the waters. You can also cycle along the River Po; visit the city of Mantua with its historical city centre, the Palazzo Ducale; the city of Cremona and much more! The surrounding area is beautiful. There is plenty to enjoy in the countryside, such as the castle of Torrechiara just south of Parma. In Emilia Romagna there are also a number of protected nature reserves. The campsite is only a few kilometres from the Parco Regionale dello Stirone. Tuscany is also close by and therefore ideal for day trips.
