Swimming with the sea far below you in beautiful Italy

The large swimming pool is not the only feature of this campsite in Italy that will surprise you. The view over the Mediterranean Sea will take your breath away. Campsite Mare Pineta is located on the Adriatic coast, on the Gulf of Trieste. From the restaurant of this Italian campsite you look out over a marina and the cliffs. High above the Adriatic Sea

Campsite Mare Pineta is located in the far north of the Adriatic Sea. It’s only half an hour from Trieste. The location high above the bay of Sistiana makes for a beautiful view. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the Adriatic Sea. With its large rocky outcrops, the marina and small beaches, this coast is one to never forget.

Swimming in the pool and the sea

The large competition pool is located on the edge of the campsite. Do you want to exercise in the pool or just relax? You can do both. Swim laps in the large pool or relax in the whirlpool. Your kids will have fun in the paddling pool. Or take a diving lesson together. From Campsite Mare Pineta it's quite a steep walk down to the sea. But don’t worry, there’s a shuttle bus. It will take you to and from the pebble beaches. They're only half a kilometre from this Italian campsite.

View from the terrace

You can take a break from all that swimming on the terrace of the restaurant. From there you can look out over the bay with its little harbour, cliffs and beaches. With such a beautiful view, the pizza tastes even better! After dinner you will certainly have enough energy for a game of tennis or basketball. Water sports enthusiasts can kayak or take a paddleboard out on the water. The children can have fun in the playground. It is also nice to walk down the coastal path together. Then you can enjoy the view even better. The open air theatre next to the restaurant is the place to be for fun. Music performances are held here until late in the evening.

SunLodges: luxury, tranquillity and a beautiful view

The SunLodges are on the other side of Campsite Mare Pineta. Far enough away from the music to be able to have some peace and quiet. But close enough to stroll lazily home after an evening full of fun. An additional advantage: you are in one of the most beautiful spots of the entire campsite, between the trees and close to the cliffs. So take a seat on one of the sun loungers and enjoy the view.

Trieste and the Grotta Gigante

Take your children to Trieste for a day full of history. The historic centre of Trieste is very beautiful, and you can get there from the campsite within half an hour by car. Trieste is full of beautiful old buildings. And you'll also find plenty of charming pavement cafes. If you decide to drive to Trieste, be sure to make a stopover at Castle Miramare. This nineteenth-century castle overlooks the sea. In for an exciting adventure? The Grotta Gigante, just outside Trieste, is an amazingly beautiful and large cave system. You and your children will never forget your visit to these caves.
