Camping Village Baia del Marinaio lies on the Tuscan coast between Livorno and Cecina, just to the south of the village of Vada. Just a few hundred metres away is a child-friendly beach that can be accessed by walking through a delightful pine forest.
The campsite has a large swimming pool with 30-metre water slide, a toddlers' pool, whirlpool and pool for disabled campers. It's a delightful spot to relax and sunbathe in the cool of a sea breeze. The entertainment team is on hand throughout the day for games, competitions and evening programmes. The little ones will love the mini club and play area. Bars, restaurants/pizzerias (take-away meals are available) and a supermarket will all make your stay that bit more comfortable.
The toilet facilities are modern and well equipped. There are a variety of sports fields and, given the proximity to the sea, you can expect plenty of watersports opportunities.
The campsite is well located for discovering Tuscany. Plus, there are the artistic towns of Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa, and the Mediterranean towns of Volterra and San Gimignano as well as the fantastic Chianti wine route, all perfect for day trips. Excursions are organised to nature parks and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The amusement park of Cavallino Matto is located in Marina di Donoratico.
For somewhere a little farther afield, Cinque Terre in the north is a fascinating destination.
