General information
La Rocca Camp in Italy is a terraced campsite with direct access to the beach (even for campers with disabilities) and breath-taking views of the lake, just a few kilometres from the motorway. This hospitable campsite, located amongst olive trees near Bardolino, is situated on Lake Garda.
La Rocca undergoes modernisation every year and has great environmental awareness, as can be seen from the solar panels, electric vehicles, energy-saving measures, reduced/separation of waste and, where possible use of ecological materials.
Guests take centre stage at La Rocca campsite.
The swimming pools are suitable for all age groups, have a fine sandy beach with sun loungers and parasols and fantastic views. Great relaxation - active or otherwise! Hydromassages are also available.
Challenge your fellow campers to a game of football or (beach) volleyball, join in with fitness classes, windsurfing, kayakking, canoeing, sailing, cycling, mountain biking, (organised) hikes, Nordic walking and archery for the title of 'Robin Hood of La Rocca'.
You can even take part in Italian lessons.
Foodies will love the restaurant/pizzeria for its outstanding regional dishes, and the supermarket has everything that you could need for cooking yourself, plus everything you might need for your four-legged friends. The prices are very reasonable.
At the entrance to the panoramic swimming pools is a café with fantastic views of the lake and great ice cream, hot sandwiches and coffee, again, at reasonable prices. You can also enjoy cocktails and dinner while enhoying the sun and the lovely water of the swimming pools.
The campsite has bicycles, wifi, slot machines, an indoor and outdoor play area in the form of a medieval castle, exclusive to La Rocca Camp, all for that extra bit of variation and opportunity during your holiday. And if you would prefer to be entertained, the campsite also has an entertainment team, excursions, sports competitions and themed parties in the evenings plus, for the little ones, a dedicated entertainment team in the morning, afternoon and evening. They have fun while you enjoy your holiday.
If you'd like to get to know the area, you have plenty of options.
Venice, Verona, Mantua, Florence and the Alps are all within reach.
Close to the campsite is Bardolino, with its historical centre and old buildings. The vineyards of Bardolino love the pleasant, sunny climate of the pre-Alpine environment and produce tasty wine.
In the hills around Bardolino sits a secluded Benedictine monastery, a popular tourist and religious destination. It is connected to the village by a footpath.
The area is also famed for its olive growing. It was the large monasteries of northern Italy that promoted olive growing in the middle ages.
If you have some time and energyleft, visit Park del Mincio, an extensive marsh area with abundant vegetation and animals in unspoilt countryside with picturesque villages rich in history and art. It's a great place for hiking and cycling. Guided tours through the area are also available, winding slowly through the reed and water lilies by boat.
The little ones will love the theme parks - there are many in the area.
