Indoor pools, outdoor pools, water slides, multilevel play structures... the huge aqua park on the Terme Čatež campsite in Slovenia has it all. And of course, after a day of swimming, you deserve an ice cream. Or some yummy French fries. You’ll find several restaurants at the campsite. And if you are staying in a SunLodge, then your luxury camping holiday will be complete!

A leisurely camping holiday in beautiful Slovenia

We’re sure you have heard by now that Slovenia has stunning countryside. And you can also drive to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, in just an hour. The ancient city of Zagreb in Croatia is also within an hour's drive from Terme Čatež campsite. And a few kilometres south of the campsite you'll find a beautiful woodland area that you can explore. The cycling and walking there are beautiful. What’s more (the name of the campsite kind of gives it away): on this Slovenian campsite you will find real thermal springs. In fact, these provide the water for the extensive water park.

Mega water park!

If you enjoy swimming, Terme Čatež campsite is the place for you. Play with your children in the mega water park, practice your breast stroke or race together down the large water slide. Or send your children on a treasure hunt on the pirate island. This large multi-level climbing structure is located in one of the shallow toddler pools. And if they can’t find any treasure there, tell them to head on over to the indoor pool. This pool is home to a real pirate ship! While your kids are having fun there, you can float down the lazy river and relax.

French fries, ice creams and sport massages

Ever wondered what Slovenian cuisine tastes like? There are several hotels next to the campsite, each with its own restaurant. You’ll be able to find your answer there. There is also a restaurant close to the aqua park. That’s the place for some French fries or an ice cream. You certainly deserve that after an afternoon of swimming, tennis or football. Why not book a massage in the big wellness centre, or spend some time in the sauna.

The advantages of a SunLodge at the Terme Čatež campsite

If you decide to stay in one of the SunLodges at Terme Čatež, you will be sleeping in the latest generation of SunLodges. These super luxury mobile homes are located on the edge of the campsite, nice and close to the water park. And you can enjoy this water park to the fullest, because SunLodge guests have free access to the outdoor swimming pool twice a day! And if you’d prefer to use the indoor pool, no problem, instead of the outdoor leisure pool you can also choose to use the indoor pool once a day for free (for a maximum of 3 hours). If you want to use the indoor and outdoor swimming pools on the same day, you can do so for a charge. And oh yes, the view from the patio of your SunLodge is really rather nice. It looks out over the green hills in the distance.

Großer Campingplatz mit tollen Pools. Essen bei den Pools teuer. In der Anlage wenig Unterhaltung.

Geweldig zwembad, binnen en buiten!
De sunlodge was super! Schoon, netjes, goede bedden en beddengoed en heel leuk ingericht. De burgers van de foodtruck zijn echt een aanrader!
De camping zelf mocht wat meer speelplekken, restaurants en fatsoenlijke winkeltjes hebben. Dit hebben wij gemist. Gelukkig was er de tafel BBQ! SUPER!
Minpuntje, we moesten eerst inchecken bij therme catez en vervolgens bij suncamp. Dit vonden wij dubbel op, zou fijn zijn als dat na een lange reis vlot verloopt bijv direct bij suncamp.

De camping begint erg oud te worden staan oude lege gebouwen die niet meer gebruikt worden zwembaden plakken de kauwgoms aan de rand glijbanen mogen wel weer een keer geverfd worden komt de roest door dus beter onderhoud

Het waterpark is super. Jammer dat het allemaal wat verouderd op de camping. Er zijn o.a. trampolines, kartbaantje en midgetgolf buiten werking al jaren begreep ik.
Meerdere eetgelegenheden niet meer open. Terwijl dat wel gecommuniceerd wordt op de informatie die we meekrijgen vanuit de receptie.
Wij zijn echt om het waterpark gegaan. Voor de omgeving of andere faciliteiten hoef je daar niet te zijn.

Wij verbleven op de camping met onze eigen caravan. En de toilet/douche gebouwen waren echt slecht onderhouden en vies. Voor een 5* camping mag dit echt niet. We zijn bij de receptie gaan douche ivm daar nieuw en schoon was met de fiets/auto naar toe moeten rijden ivm de afstand. En het park ziet er achterstallig uit. Niet 5* waardig.

Een camping gunstig gelegen voor wie Slovenie wil ontdekken. De camping zelf is gericht op de zwembaden en glijbanen. Er is ook toegang voor gasten die niet op de camping verblijven, wat dagelijks een grote groep mensen is. Hierdoor lange wachttijden bij de receptie en in het zwembad bij de glijbanen. Vriendelijkheid van de mensen bij de receptie kan beter, je merkt dat je een nummertje bent. Wij stonden op een nieuw deel van de camping, waardoor de aankleding (boompjes, plantjes, struiken) er niet was. Eigenlijk een veld met gravelpaden, tenten en caravans.

Der Platz ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und man hat den Eindruck es wird nicht investiert. Insbesondere die sanitären Anlagen könnten mal gemacht werden. Die Sauberkeit lässt zum Teil auch zu wünsche übrig.

De kampeerplaatsen zijn in het nieuwe stuk van de camping gelegen. Misschien iets te dicht tegen elkaar waardoor er minder privacy hebt, maar het binnenpleintje is super voor de kinderen.
Het zwembad is voor alle leeftijden. Aangenaam warm water (waarover de meningen verdeeld zijn), diverse glijbanen, voldoende ligplekken (weinig schaduw), ... Naar West Europese normen heeft het ondertussen wel wat onderhoudswerken nodig. Losliggende tegels - die trouwens allemaal zeer heet zijn - verdwenen tegels in de voetbaden, rommelige hoekjes met niet gebruikte materialen, ... maar stoorde ons dit echt? Iedereen heeft het enorm naar zijn zin gehad in het zwembad.
