Beautiful camping on the rocky coast near Tarragona

Ametlla Village Platja is a beautiful, quiet campsite close to the sea on the north eastern coast of Spain. The stunning rocky coastline with bays and beautiful beaches and crystal clear water is within walking distance of the campsite on the Spanish coast just below Tarragona, the capital of the Costa Dorada.

Stunning bays

You can take beautiful walks here along stunning little bays. The fishing village of l’Ametlla de Mar, famous for its friendly restaurants with typical regional dishes is just a few kilometres away.

It is a pleasure to camp here

The campsite in L'Ametlla de Mar, which has a wonderful combination of sun and cool shade, offers a children's entertainment programme in high season with water games, crafts and, of course, a clown now and then! Children can have fun at any time in the playground. There is also a great new football field with artificial grass. In addition to various competitions there is also a high standard diving centre. Diving is sheer pleasure in this clear water! There are three great swimming pools and panoramic views of the rocks and the sea from the large green lawn!

Lovely varied day trips

A variety of fantastic day trips are easily made from the L'Ametlla Village Platja campsite, for example to the old Roman town of Tarragona, also famous for its bulls or the Universal Port Aventura theme park, which also has an exciting and enjoyable water park. Those wanting a day of unspoilt countryside should visit the Delta del Ebro Nature Reserve. There are also numerous Roman remains in the area surrounding Tarragona.     De camping an zich is prima. Schoon sanitair, goed restaurant (wel tijdig reserveren) en de camping had een 9 gescoord als de animatie (voor de kinderen!) niet van 22.00 tot 0.00 was geweest, daarna de disco niet tot 2.00 had geduurd (klagen direct bij de security van de disco helpt), en het daarna tot 3.30 vaak rumoerig was...Het zou enorm helpen als er een stilte beleid vanaf zeg 23.00 zou zijn, zodat ook de vele Spanjaarden niet gezellig door blijven keuvelen tot een uurtje of 1.00.

    Fijne camping met niet te veel regels. Maar waarom ook hier te weinig strandbedden bij het zwembad staan? Geen idee.
