Swimming in the lake and playing on the beach
Podersdorf beach campsite is located directly on Lake Neusiedl, Europe's only steppe lake. The lake is shallow, warm and has both sandy and pebble beaches. The campsite is located on the popular Podobeach, where you can sunbathe, swim or play in the water. The lake offers many possibilities for active holidaymakers, including windsurfing, paddleboarding, sailing or pedal boating. Children will have fun on the slides, water playgrounds and on the pirate ferry. And while the children are busy building sandcastles, you as a parent can relax on a lounger with a view of the lake and the characteristic lighthouse.
Sport, activities and Austrian hospitality
This campsite has all the ingredients for a fun and active holiday. Children will have a great time in the large playground and can participate in sports tournaments. At PODOactive you can have fun with beach volleyball, table tennis and other activities. Want to work on your fitness? Then the calisthenics park with its view of the lake is highly recommended. At Strandcamping Podersdorf am See you will find a pizzeria and snack bar. Fresh bread rolls are also available daily. In the village you can try local specialities such as the famous Mangalitza meat and fried fish from the lake.
Nature, culture and adventure in Burgenland
The area around the Podersdorf am See beach campsite also has a lot to offer. There are many beautiful cycling routes around the lake. Are you a nature lover? The Neusiedler See-Seewinkel National Park (5 km) is just around the corner. This nature park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to more than 300 species of birds. The landscape consists of unique marshes and reed beds. A beautiful environment for hiking! Would you like to experience some culture? Then the Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt (40 km) and the Podersdorf windmill (1 km) are highly recommended.
