Cultural highlights near your campsite: Pula, Rovinj, Umag

You won’t be starved of culture while staying at a local campsite. Istria boasts many beautiful cities teeming with good sights, such as:

  • Roman Pula
History hunters will appreciate a trip to Pula while staying at their campsite. Pula has a wealth of surviving buildings from the Roman era, such as the temple dedicated to Rome and Augustus.
  • Rovinj, old hill fortress
Built atop a hill on a former island, Rovinj sticks out prominently from wherever you are in the area. One the best sights you can visit from your campsite, Rovinj’s attractions include its steeply inclined streets.
  • Port of Umag
An intriguing city to visit from your campsite, Umag has a large marina complex in its harbour, around which the lovely old quarter huddles.

Istria has culture and countryside in abundance. You will find peace and recreation, and the children will be extensively catered for, too, by all there is to experience near the campsite. Istria has some campsites with swimming pool, playground and animation programme.
