Camping on a warm lake in Kärnten
The Schluga See campsite is located in the beautiful Austrian province of Carinthia by the Pressegger See, a lake with a water temperature of around 28 degrees in the summer. At the lakeside there are beautiful sandy beaches and sloping lawns. This campsite in Austria is naturally terraced and attractively positioned at the edge of the woods.
Not one campsites but two
The Schluga See campsite as well as its sister campsite, Schluga Camping Hermagor, is part of Schluga Camping, Mobilehomes, Apartments. You can make use of all the facilities on both campsites (and there are plenty), including the extensive gym and sauna complex, a natural swimming lake and the spectacular Schluga Alpin SPA (at the Schluga campsite).
Great place for a holiday!
This campsite has a small, communal sauna/infrared cabin near the apartments. Schluga See campsite is a paradise for children! Nothing is too much trouble to keep the young guests happy. There is mini-golf and trampolines, as well as a Topiclub for children from 2-12 years old. The club provides a full entertainment programme and babysitting service, which is included in the price. Daredevils can go rafting, mountain biking or canyoning with professional supervision.
Take a walk with the owner
The area has spectacular mountainous landscapes, which are ideal for cycling or hiking. The owner of the Schluga campsites personally takes his guests on mountain walks along the hilltops in the area – this is unique to this campsite and a rare opportunity! This charming part of Carinthia is a few kilometres as the crow flies from the border with Italy (the region close to Udine) and the north of Slovenia (Triglav National Park) is also very close by. For a day in the city, Villach is about half an hour's drive from the campsite. As you can see, this is a wonderful place to camp in Austria!
