Ducado

Ducado

Sun, sea, sand and much more

Residence Ducado is only a few steps from the beach of Costa Brava. This apartment complex is on the outskirts of the urban area of L’Escala, a former fishing town. Nowadays, it is a popular among tourists above all. The town is loved due to its many restaurants and shops. In the surrounding area, you will find long sandy beaches alternated with small bays.

Glass of sangria

The main reason you go to Costa Brava is for the sea and sand, and you can find that at 150 metres from Residence Ducado. Ducado is an apartment complex covering four streets. Between the streets, there are green areas with playground equipment for your children and a small swimming pool. It's a great place for swimming a few lengths after a long day of holiday fun.
Your apartment is modest but comfortable and equipped with all your daily necessities. A supermarket is also within arm's reach. You can get to the lovely promenade in the centre within ten minutes. How about a glass of sangria with a view of the sea?

View the underwater life

The Costa Brava is more than just a beach on your doorstep. Go out and explore and you will discover the loveliest bays amid the rocks. A little further north, you will find the endless sandy beaches of the Bay of Roses. These are easy to reach and highly suitable for a visit with your family.
The coast is jagged and rocky in the south. The large rocky points sticking out of the sea are part of the Medes Island group, a nature reserve with a rich sea life. This makes this area extremely popular among divers. There are also many options for novice divers. If that does not appeal to you, discover the underwater world during a trip on a boat with a glass bottom.

Rugged mountains and Medieval castles

The Medes Islands are part of the Montgrí Massif, a mountainous strip of land between l’Escala and l’Estartit. The steep mountainsides of the massif border the sea. This area is great for walking. And be sure to visit Montgrí Castle. Slightly further inland, you will find lovely Medieval towns between the natural green hills.
The town of Figueres, with the museum by the famous painter Dalí, is an absolute must. As is Girona, with its many sights and which is easy is to reach from Residence Ducado. The Costa Brava offers so much more than just sea, sun and sand.
