Stayed on Camping Zaton Holiday Resort in Zaton in July 2018

The location is beside the sea but we expected Zaton to be a bigger town close by. It was a dead town with nothing happening in it. It is not far from Zadar which is beautiful but not somewhere you could head into . You could head into Nin which is gorgeous but you had to leave at 11.20 in order to ensure you got back into the side before the closed the gate!!. This rushed dinner and socialising and put people under undue pressure instead of a leisurely stroll back.

Area of beauty, near the sea, amongst a pine wood. Although we haven't visited the islands, it is a possibility. Nin is a lovely old town within walking distance, with some lovely restaurants too
