Nestled beneath the watchful eye of the Larochette castle ruins and surrounded by forested hills, you’ll find hu Birkelt Village. Just a short drive from the Netherlands, it’s the perfect getaway for families with young children!A great choice all year round
This well-kept family campsite is ideal in every season. Outside the summer months, the heated pool is covered by a retractable roof, so the kids can enjoy a swim whatever the weather. Too warm to stay indoors? Then cool off in the outdoor pool!Outdoor adventures in the Müllerthal
There’s plenty to do on site, from table tennis and beach volleyball to enjoying the multisports court and indoor and outdoor play areas. Beyond the campsite, the untouched natural surroundings offer rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking and scenic hikes. The Müllerthal Trail starts right at the campsite and is a must for anyone who loves walking. There are three main routes and four extra loops to explore even more. Don’t forget your hiking shoes and a torch – parts of the trail lead you through caves, over hills and past dramatic rock formations.Little Switzerland
The area is also known as 'Little Switzerland' thanks to its fairytale landscapes, beautiful nature and charming towns. Visit the tourist-friendly village of Larochette (2 km) with its lively square, music pavilion, cafés, restaurants and shops. Echternach (24 km), Luxembourg City (30 km) and Trier (40 km) are also well worth a trip for a mix of culture and great food.
Make time to visit the castles of Beaufort (13 km) and Vianden (24 km), or take a refreshing dip in Echternach Lake or the Lac de la Haute-Sûre (22 and 36 km). The latter is also great for paddleboarding and kayaking. And don’t miss Luxembourg’s most famous waterfall – the “Schießentümpel”. It’s only a 15-minute drive and then a short walk along a forest trail.

Fijne camping, zeker met kinderen!
Zwembad zou wel meer uitdaging mogen hebben voor de kids, is wat aan de saaie kant.
Daarintegen wel veel speeltuintjes verdeeld over de rest van de camping.
Wij hadden ons eigen sanitair, maar van wat ik gezien heb is het algemene sanitair heel netjes en schoon.

Erg genoten op deze camping met onze kinderen van 2 en 6. Overnacht in de glampingtent yucca met eigen sanitair, zeker een aanrader. Leuke nette camping, veel Nederlandse animatie. Van de poolbar kunnen ze naar mijn mening iets veel leukers maken. Een goed gezellig restaurant misten we ook. Afhaal pizza en frietjes vielen ons trouwens niet tegen. Zwembad was leuk, al was het buitenbad wel erg koud, zelfs met 30 graden! De omgeving is erg mooi, ook erg leuke wandelpaden rondom de camping.

Niet te groot en niet te klein. Mooi aangelegd, veel groen, ziet er gezellig uit. Voldoende faciliteiten zoals mini supermarkt/winkeltje, restaurant, bar, terras, animatie ook s avonds in hoogseizoen, mooi zwembad, stortplaatsen. Alles is schoon, verzorgd en vriendelijk personeel.
