A Slovenian fairy tale on Lake Bled

Spend your holiday on a campsite in the fairytale surroundings of Lake Bled. This campsite is almost right next to the water by this unique lake in northern Slovenia. Take a refreshing dip with the Julian mountains as the background. These mountains are the setting for your mountain walking and mountain bike tours. Bled campsite is a paradise for small children. They can make things and play, or sample typical Slovenian cream cakes.

A fairytale lake

A campsite in fairytale Slovenia: you’ve not experienced camping like this before. Bled campsite is situated in the heart of the Julian Alps and you’ll have wonderful views of the mountains from your camping pitch. But it’s not only the mountains that play a role in the fairytale, you’ll be staying right by the water of famous Lake Bled. There is a small island in the middle of the lake with a tiny 15th century church. This makes the view even more stunning.

A dip in the lake

With the Alps in the background you can take a dip in the lake, and if you’re staying on this campsite, you can do that every day. The water is a pleasant temperature, especially in the summer. This is also the place if you want to sunbathe, there is a large lawn at the campsite where you can laze away on the grass. But be sure to take a rowing boat or a kayak on Lake Bled; row to the small island for a unique experience. Motorboats are not allowed on the lake so it’s always safe for the whole family to swim and play.

A Slovenian cream cake

Young children can have a wonderful time at Bled campsite. Fun making things and colouring in at the miniclub, enjoying magic shows, it’s all possible. They can also play table tennis and basketball together, and there’s plenty of space to run around by your camping pitch. If they are tired by all that playing and running, enjoy a typical Slovenian cream cake in the restaurant. With wonderful views of the lake, of course.

A walk through the Vintgar Gorge

If your children are slightly older, the surroundings are especially exciting. The area around Lake Bled is a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers. Lovely walking routes are available at the campsite. Be sure also to drive to the Vintgar Gorge, five kilometres north of Bled campsite. The River Radovna flows here through the steep mountain slopes. After an exciting walk beside the river you will suddenly be standing next to the sixteen metre high Slap Šum waterfall. If you’re looking for something a bit quieter, drive to the town of Bled, on the other side of the lake. You can enjoy Slovenian folklore, great restaurants and a casino there.

Der Campingplatz ist sehr schön direkt am See gelegen. Es gibt keine Zugangsbänder, man kann einfach auch mal Bekannt einladen.

Schön gelegener Platz, Stellplatz könnte ebener sein, mit zeltheringe keine Chance boden zu hart. Saubere Anlage freundliche Mitarbeiter. Brötchen Service ist top.
