Vilanova Park, a parkland campsite on the Spanish Costa between Barcelona and Tarragona in Catalonia, is a really beautiful place to camp, you can enjoy the mild Mediterranean climate all year round. The camping grounds of this large holiday park are natural and have character. You will camp beneath Mediterranean palms and among flowers and plants. The camping pitches are pleasantly spacious and there is plenty of shade. The whole campsite has wireless internet, including the SunLodges!

Everything on this campsite is done to put the camper in a real holiday mood. There is a wealth of comfortable facilities and an excellent swimming pool complex with two large swimming pools, one of which has a fountain (beautifully and colourfully lit up at night), children's pools, a large lawn and an indoor swimming pool with bubble baths and massage baths.

In addition, there is a modern wellness centre with a sauna and solarium. There is even a small childrens' animal park with some cattle. The campsite also has a bouncy castle and minigolf. This means hours of fun! In high season there is an extensive entertainment programme for young and old. For those who want an active holiday, there are various opportunities for sport on the campsite. Even in low season you can take part in aqua gym or aerobics lessons. A doctor holds a daily consultation at the campsite.

A visit to the exciting theme park PortAventura in the vicinity of Vilanova i la Geltrú and Sitges is an absolute must! Vilanova Park campsite also arranges city trips to Barcelona. You can also easily visit the city, with its Ramblas boulevard and buildings by Gaudí, yourself. There is a bus stop by the campsite entrance with departures every hour. The Mobus bus company operates a direct connection to the city.

Equally lovely, though less well known is the city of Tarragona, the capital of Catalonia in Roman times. The area between Tarragona and Barcelona is a forested nature reserve. Just outside of Barcelona you will find the Poblet and Montserrat monasteries. The interior of Catalonia is also recommended!

Suncamp introduces its own luxury mobile home at Vilanova Park: the SunLodge Aspen (suitable for up to 6 people). The SunLodge Aspen is much more spacious and comfortable than regular mobile homes.

Layout: one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with two single beds and one bedroom with bunk beds. The beds are extra wide and long (80 x 210 cm). There is space for a child’s bed.

This accommodation has a bathroom and separate toilet with a wash basin and hot water. There is also a living room and kitchen with modern appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. There is also air-conditioning and heating.

Outside there is a spacious raised patio with railings, sunshade and wooden furniture.

The SunLodges are nicely located in relation to one another.

The SunLodge Jungle is new at this campsite! A beautifully designed tent, suitable for 5 people. Adventurous, comfortable and complete.

SunLodge Jungle has teak furniture and a wooden floor.

Layout: one bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, and one bedroom with a single bed and bunk beds. The mattresses are comfortable and ensure a good night's sleep.

The living room has a kitchen bench with refrigerator (including freezer compartment) and a three-ring gas hob. There is a kettle and coffee maker. The crockery is stored in a stylish sideboard.

There is a spacious, raised and covered patio, which has railings and a dining table and chairs.

The SunLodge Jungle does not have its own toilet facilities.

The SunLodges are nicely located in relation to one another.

Bungalow tent Rent-a-Tent Blue
The rent-a-tent Blue is a spacious tent offering every convenience. All models of rent-a-tent come complete with a double bed and three sprung single beds with mattress and cover. Please cover the bed with your own sheet and use your own sleeping bag or duvet for sleeping. For parties of six, an additional bed can be provided - please discuss this option with us on arrival.
For smaller parties, one of the interior walls of some models of tent can be rolled up to provide additional space.

Where permitted, you can also erect your own side tent alongside the rent-a-tent. Older children will probably love this idea, and it will also give you more space in the tent.
An electric heater is provided in the tent.
Smoking is not permitted in bungalow tents.

The rent-a-tent range features two models of sleeping tent. Depending on the model, the beds can be set up either across or along the tent.
Attached to the ground sheet in the front section of the tent is a special ground covering with raised edges designed to provide additional comfort. During the day, the edge of the covering can be laid down in the door area so that guests don't trip over, while at night it can be raised again to prevent water from entering the tent. This proprietary invention has proved its worth in various locations. It is covered with matting for comfort, meaning you can still enjoy the tent even if the weather is inclement.

The Rent-a-Tent GlamLodge tent is spacious and has all modern conveniences. All models have a double bed and 3 single beds as standard. The beds have a spiral spring base, matrass and matrass protector. You are required to bring your own bed sheets and sleeping bag or duvet. If there are 6 people, an additional bed can be made up on arrival. If there are less than 6 people, you can roll up the dividers within the tent for extra space. Where permitted, you can decide where to pitch any additional tents that you have brought with you. Older children will enjoy this and you will have more space for yourself in the tent. An electric heater is provided. Smoking is not permitted in the bungalow tent.
Rent-a-Tent has two different tent models and it depends on the model as to which way the beds can be set up (lengthways or widthways). At the front of the tent there is a section on the groundsheet which has upright partitions attached. This Rent-a-Tent design has a special construction which makes it possible to put the partitions down by the door in the daytime or tie them up to make a watertight area to prevent (night time) flooding. This design has proved useful. There is a floor covering in this section so that you do not have to stand on the cold floor and children can play inside if the weather is unfavourable. Pillows are provided as standard.
The outdoor area has wind protection, which means that this tent is more comfortable than a standard bungalow tent with a parasol or party tent. You also have more privacy. There are two adjustable chairs with foot rests, a skottel braai and fan in the inventory.

Camping Villanova is a perfect site for families, the pools and play areas were clean and well maintained. The supermarket, restaurant, takeaway and pool bars had friendly staff and lots of choice. The Suncamp area of the site was well laid out with plenty of parking and grassed area for the kids to play on. I would certainly recommend this site.

The site was very clean and well maintained. Being situated at the top of the resort you were still close enough for the amenities and evening entertainment but not so close to have everyone walking passed on their way to the social areas.
