General information
The Croatian campsite Stella Maris forms part of the beautiful Sol Stella Maris resort. Prepare yourself for a luxury holiday in Istria with all the works! The campsite has been completely renovated and has a brand new swimming pool. The resort offers amenities which you as a camper may use (for a charge). There is an enormous tennis complex where a professional ATP tournament will be held from 17 July to 27 July. This will make it very busy but it will be an absolute plus for tennis fans.
Stella Maris campsite has several shops and restaurants, a sea water swimming pool and a swimming lagoon also filled with salt water. The site is not right by the sea, but very close (500 metres). There is also an exchange office, various sports facilities (volleyball, diving, windsurfing, bike hire, table tennis, beach volleyball, kayaking, pedal boats) and even a medical centre.
The campsite itself is located in a centuries-old pine forest. There is a playing field in an open space. Plenty of attention is paid to entertainment and amusement for the children. There are various clubs for the different age groups. This is an ideal spot for anyone in search of an active holiday.
Naturally you can take advantage of all the wonderful things on this magnificent Istrian peninsula. Stella Maris is located close to the picturesque town of Umag on the most northerly point of Istria. The nearby villages are also well worth visiting. The many restaurants here offer many Mediterranean specialities and folklore events. Venice on the other side of the Adriatic makes a wonderful day trip which you can make by a high speed catamaran.
