Camping Le Courounba
General information
Oasis in the French Alps
Le Courounba campsite is located on the banks of the Gyronde river on extensive, wooded grounds. Here, on the one hand, you will find the peace you are looking for and, on the other, there are many sporting activities possible in the area. So there's something for everyone!Adventure in a mountain setting
From the campsite you have beautiful views of the mountains. Follow one of the no less than 700 hiking and cycling routes or go mountain climbing, water sports, paragliding, horse riding, sports fishing, rock climbing, archery or summer tobogganing. As you can see, real adventurers will certainly get their money's worth here.Sports activities at the campsite
There is a lot to do in the surrounding area, but Le Courounba campsite also has a lot to offer, such as a beautiful ecological natural swimming pool without chlorine next to a heated pool with slide and splash pool, a BMX track, climbing wall, a petanque court, a volleyball court, two tennis courts, a bouncy castle, table tennis tables, a games room and a television room. There is also a multi-purpose sports field for older youth in particular. They are not forgotten at this campsite. You will also find wellness facilities. So there is plenty to do for everyone!Unspoilt nature
Enjoy the peace and quiet in the unspoilt nature around the campsite. The Parc National des Ecrins, Mont Brison and even Italy are not far away. In the mountains you can hike up to the glacier (also suitable for children). The silver mine and cave dwellings of L'Argentière are also well worth a visit. Look at the mountains, discover the flora and fauna and breathe in the pure air. It is truly enjoyable here! From sports to history
For those interested in history and sports, there are many options. The route national connects the cities of Gap and Briançon, but in between is the large Lac de Serre-Ponçon, where many water sports can be enjoyed. For those interested in the Tour de France, you can take the road at Guillestre to the rugged Col d'Izoard. Other famous cols include the Galibier and the Lautaret, and of course the famous Alpes d'Huez, but it is a lot further away. Briançon is on the route to Italy and is particularly famous for 'Fort Vauban', which you can visit. The old episcopal town of Embrun with its high historical centre is definitely worth a visit.Score from 11 reviews. All reviews
