Although the Netherlands is also sometimes called Holland, North Holland (Noord Holland) is not the entire north of the country. Rather, it is a province (one of twelve) in the north-west. You will never be bored camping in North Holland! You can visit bustling cities or enjoy fresh sea air at the beach. North Holland is also an attractive destination for water-sport lovers as there is water aplenty in the vicinity of the campsites. North Holland provides opportunities for both relaxing and active holidays.
You do not need be afraid of boredom during your holiday, as there is plenty to do in the neighbourhood of your campsite. The North Holland coast and region have plenty to offer:
The Wadden island of Texel is a popular holiday spot and a great place to camp or visit on a day trip. From your campsite you can enjoy unique experiences such as walking across the mudflats or shrimp fishing on a cutter.
You can choose to simply camp in your own tent or caravan. But North Holland has many campsites where you can rent accommodation such as a bungalow or mobile home.
When you go camping with the family in North Holland, it is of course more enjoyable for the children if there is a swimming pool, playground or entertainment team at the campsite.

Nice villages nearby our campsite, quite remote but plenty to do so long as you have transport.
