Plenty of places to visit within a short driving range.
At a campsite in West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen), you won’t have to be bored for a single moment! You can have a lovely invigorating walk along the beach or visit beautiful cities such as Bruges or Ghent. West-Vlaanderen is just as beckoning to watersports fans. You can make of West-Vlaanderen what you will: a relaxing holiday or an active one!
You really don’t have to worry that you’ll end up being bored while on holiday here, as there’s lots and lots to be done within easy reach of your campsite. West-Vlaanderen has plenty to offer when it comes to culture and natural beauty:
West-Vlaanderen boasts not only its diversity of sights but also a varied countryside that plays host to mountain biking, pony and covered trap (huifkar) trekking, hiking and cycling. There are plenty of unique places to discover in this region.
Those taking their family camping in West-Vlaanderen will appreciate their campsite having a swimming pool, playground or entertainment team for the children.
You can of course decide to go camping in your own trusty tent or caravan, but West-Vlaanderen also has some campsites where you can rent accommodation such as a bungalow or mobile home.

We could get to Bruge, Ostend and Ghent very quickly. The local village had supermarkets, bakery and cafe / bars. There is also a local bus stop which was ideal.

The area was rich in history and places to visit. Great if you don't mind spending your days off of site!

Only 10min walk from bus stop so easy access. This also allowed for a day trip to see bruges. Jabbeke had a street fair while we were there so that was nice to see. Aldi and another local supermarket are only ten min walk away so very convenient. Campsite itself is secluded so it was nice and quiet.

Within easy access of bruge and ostend although i would recommended parking on the outskirts of ostend on a sunday and getting a tram into the centre as it is very busy. Loads of beautiful beaches nearby. Should definitely visit plopsaland and the s&r olympia swimming pool if you have children. A short drive across the border to the netherlands and just over an hours drive from the eurotunnel at calais.

The area is nice and quiet with a few local bars around and a couple of supermarkets and local shops. You need to be aware that these close early on some days. It has easy links to other areas and a good bus route.

We appeared a long way from our car and in a caravan on the corner of the site close to what appeared a residential caravan area, unfortunately that mean't on two of our nights there was a lot of loud noise and music playing till the early hours of the morning. The region was perfect though and we were able to tour around flanders and visit ypres, bruges and gent with ease.
