Amidst forests and rivers

This is indeed a beautiful part of the Netherlands. The river landscape of the IJssel on one side and the Veluwe forests on the other. Europarcs Marina Strandbad is located on a branch of the IJssel River and has its own marina, a treat for boat owners. But even those who love the water without a boat will feel right at home here. The park features a lovely natural beach amidst the trees. Prefer to stay active? You can rent a boat, canoe, or paddleboard to explore the tranquil waters. Of course, you can also enjoy the heated water of the outdoor swimming pool on-site.

Entertainment for water rats and landlubbers

At Europarcs Marina Strandbad, you can enjoy various water activities. The park is situated on The Zwarte Schaar, a peaceful branch of the IJssel River. This provides you with plenty of options. You can easily navigate the IJssel River from the campsite for a long journey. Or strap on your water skis and glide across the water.

In the tranquil branch, you can swim, surf, or canoe. And you'll definitely find a nice spot to cast your fishing line. For landlubbers, there's also plenty to do. Hop on your bike, and you'll be surrounded by fields and meadows in no time. Cross the IJssel River on the ferry, and you'll find yourself in the Veluwe forests.

Tasteful and comfortable

Europarcs Marina Strandbad is a new park that is still under development, which includes some ongoing work. Any inconvenience to you as a guest is kept to a minimum. Everything you need looks great. Your accommodation is new and clean. The pool area is beautifully landscaped with a large sunbathing area next to it.

For a drink in between, just take a few steps to the restaurant. Here, you can also enjoy a delicious Italian meal. From the terrace on the dike, you can keep an eye on your children as they have fun on the bouncy castle or the playground.

Which way shall we go today?

With its location at the crossroads of Veluwe, IJssel Valley, and the Achterhoek, you won't have to think long about excursions. The surroundings of Europarcs Marina Strandbad are dotted with picturesque villages, towns, country houses, and farms. After a short bike ride, you'll arrive in the beautiful Hanseatic town of Doesburg, where history is still palpable.

In the larger Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Deventer, you can easily spend a day wandering through the narrow streets of the old town, from boutique to terrace and back. The Eight Castles Route takes you by bike past beautiful castles, such as Vorden Castle. On the Veluwe, you can endlessly wander through heathlands, forest paths, and sand dunes. And if you can't get enough... well, why not come back again?
