EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos

EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos

City campsite among trees, animals and the water

The holiday park is hidden away among tall trees. It’s a fantastic place to enjoy the outdoor life all year round, with – for those who want it – the bustling capital of the Netherlands just around the corner! Sleeping in a large wood is an exciting holiday adventure for the whole family. You will be staying in the middle of the countryside at the EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos city campsite, so you can also swim in natural swimming pools! Having the city and the countryside so close to each other will ensure a first rate holiday for you and your children.

Extensive facilities

The city campsite is located on the southern edge of the Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Forest), so you can easily explore the surroundings by bike. If you don’t take your bikes with you, you can rent them at the reception. The metro and trams are withing walking distance of EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos, and either will take you to the centre of Amsterdam within minutes. You can do your daily shopping in the campsite shop whenever the reception is open. You can also get delicious fresh bread here for your breakfast!

Swimming in the Amsterdamse Bos

There are several places in the woods where children can swim safely. The quality of the water in the Amsterdamse Bos is excellent. A special swimming section has been fenced off in the Grote Vijver (Large Pool), and there are two children’s pools in the Amsterdamse Bos with play equipment for the very youngest children. These are only filled when the weather is warm. Both of these pools have a kiosk selling treats, and there are picnic benches and public toilets. Children can also enjoy themselves in the playground or on the sports field in the campsite.

Out and about in the woods or in the city

The Amsterdamse Bos is three times as large as New York’s Central Park, and you’ll find everything for having a wonderful time with your children. You can get information about all the activities in the woods at the forest shop, including great performances in the forest theatre. Get out together, go picnicking, spot rabbits, throw leaves or maybe catch ladybirds and spiders in an insect pot from the forest shop! You can also climb up real trees in the woods at Fun Forest Amsterdam. The youngest holidaymakers will not believe their eyes at the goat farm, and a pancake from the pancake farm is the best way to round off an unforgettable day! With the centre of Amsterdam within cycling distance (8 kilometres) and the cheese town of Alkmaar 50 kilometres away, EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos is the perfect place for an old-fashioned Dutch city trip right from the campsite.

Enjoy it all year round

Recharging your energy and going on an adventure in the countryside with your children is always a good idea. There is plenty to discover in the woods, even in autumn and winter. You might want to try building huts, searching for chestnuts or go tobogganing in the winter. The unique location of this woodland campsite will give you a wonderful camping experience in any season!
