If you like long hikes and cycle trips then you have to camp in this region. The Eifel, situated next to the Belgian Ardennes in the West of Germany, used to be volcanic. Now that these volcanos are resting, an extensive woodland and meadow filled landscape has arisen where you will find a variety of well-maintained hiking routes.

If you want to do really energetic activities in the vicinity of your campsite then the Eifel is a wonderful area for a day of horse-riding and all kinds of water sports, like kayaking and rafting. These sports are also great fun for children and the less athletic camper.

You will find welcome relief at your campsite after such an active day. If you want to rent an accommodation at a campsite then the Eifel has plenty of possibilities on offer. You can choose from a lovely mobile home or bungalow.
