Stayed on Campsite Bella Italia in Peschiera del Garda in August 2017

Close to a town and plenty of restaurants. No need for a hire car which is good as the traffic seems mental. Walking and ferry are good ways to get around. The buses were very unreliable

The location was excellent, a lovely walk along the lakeshore to the town of peschiera, an easy drive to gardaland and only 30 minutes to verona!

Access to the lake from piani di clodia was great. Lazise was a really beautiful town and the free shuttle bus in the evening from the site was also brilliant. Gardaland was very near and verona was only a half hour drive away. A free parking space was available in the underground car park.

Lake garda is simply beautiful - pescheria is a perfect central location for exploring the lake - close to the ferry and transport roots and is very pretty in itself - easy to drive to from the airport and for self catering there are cheap supermarkets close by and lovely restaurants around - it can be a bit touristy but opens up the possibility to explore the north of the lake which is breath taking

Good location. Easy access. Great scenery and lake. Nice town within easy walking distance. Take wetsuit type shoes. Waling into the lake over the stones can be difficult and uncomfortable. Don't book verona opera tickets too early-wait for the weather forecast. When we went it was only half full and we didn't get any refund when it was called off early.

With it being situated on the banks of Lake Garda it has stunning scenery, there is also lots to do whether you are very active or like to take it easy and move at a more gentle pace.

I consider some of the best features of the region to be the numerous towns and villages to be explored, a trip up monte baldo is a must, a boat ride on the lake visiting one of the many markets, a day trip to verona and venice not to be missed, swimming or relaxing by the lake, a visit to sirmone, eating out in the many beautiful restaurants, sitting back and taking in the beautiful scenery
